5 Minute Peachy Frozen Yogurt

June 05, 2025

Who says dessert can’t be healthy?

Indulge in a healthier dessert with yogurt! It’s not just delicious, it’s a nutritional powerhouse, providing probiotics for a healthy gut and essential nutrients like protein, vitamin B, and zinc. Frozen fruit retains its natural sugar content and doesn’t have added sugars, making it a good choice for those looking to manage their sugar intake. Raw organic honey offers beneficial antioxidants, and organic maple syrup is a great alternative. Lemon juice brightens up and enhances the flavor, creating a more complex flavor profile.

You’re just 5 minutes and 4 ingredients away from this incredible dessert! It’s so easy to make (no ice cream machine required!), wonderfully light, and utterly satisfying.

Tip: You can use plain Greek yogurt with any percentage of fat, however, the more fat, the creamier the frozen yogurt will be.

Serving

4 people

Ingredients:

1. (16-oz.) bag frozen peaches or 4 cups fresh peaches, frozen solid
2.3 Tablespoons of honey or substitute maple syrup
3.1/2 cup plain yogurt (non-fat or whole)
4.1 tablespoon raw honey or substitute organic maple syrup
5.2 drops almond extract (optional)

Directions:

1

Step One.

Put frozen peaches in the bowl of a 5-10 cup food processor.

2

Step Two.

Add the yogurt and honey (or other maple syrup) and 2 drops of almond extract if using.

3

Step Three.

Blend until smooth, about 3-5 minutes. I used a Ninja with frozen option (70 seconds) and had to select 4 times for a total of 4.5 minutes. In between stops I scraped down the sides. If your processor is set for 5 minutes manually stop to scrape down the sides.

Step Four.

Serve immediately for a creamy treat or freeze for a couple of hours for a firmer texture.

Note: When freezing you may have to take yogurt out of freezer about 10 minutes before serving to thaw a bit.

Enjoy!

Notes:

You can add a topping before serving if desired. Options: a drizzle of honey, a few raspberries, or chopped pecans.
