Celery Juice

February 02, 2017

Fresh celery juice is one of the most powerful and healing juices one can drink. Celery has significant anti-inflammatory properties making it highly beneficial for those who suffer from autoimmune conditions such as Migraines, IBS, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Psoriasis, Eczema, Acne, Fibromyalgia, to name a few.

Celery juice is also strongly alkaline and helps to prevent and counteract acid reflux, acidosis, constipation, and bloating, high blood pressure, hot flashes, blurry eyes, and sleep issues,

It’s also an effective natural diuretic and has ample ability to flush toxins out of the body, which makes it excellent to use on any weight loss program.

Tip: If using a blender to prepare, you will have pulp in the mix, and can always add more water to thin out or pour into a sieve and strain the pulp.

1.8oz Vita Coco coconut water & 4 oz of water, If mixing in blender
2.4-6 Stalks of Celery
3.1 large organic apple, sliced
4.1/2 bunch fresh parsley or cilantro
5.4 Sprigs fresh mint (about 20 leaves)
6.1 lemon
7.1 inch of ginger, optional

Directions:

1

Instructions for Juicer.

Run order of ingredients through high speed juicer, starting with celery through lemon.

2

Instructions for Blender.

Add in order to blender: 1 cup of  cold Vita Coco Coconut water, 4-6 oz of cold filtered water, chopped celery, apple cut into chunks, handful of parsley, mint leaves & ginger (if using). Squeeze juice from lemon.

Blend at high speed until blended. Pour into glass or blender bottle and enjoy or strain smoothie into bowl using sieve.

Notes:

For blender version: I like using the Vita Coco coconut water for the base as it cuts the intensity of the celery. You can also add more water to thin out to desired consistency.
