How It Began

I had a career in advertising for about 30 years, editing TV commercials. I loved the creativity and adrenaline rush from the fast pace and insane deadlines. To relieve stress from the day I would either drink a couple of glasses of wine or go for a run or take a hot yoga class. I really enjoyed the way I felt during and after the yoga classes. I found I got that same “runner’s high” I obtained on my long runs with less impact on my knees. After completing my first (and last) marathon in November 2005, I decided to run less and devote more energy to yoga, increasing my practice, to 4-5 times per week.

What Is Reiki Energy Healing?

Founded in Japan in 1914 by Dr. Mikao Usui, Reiki is an alternative healing technique that is one of the most widely known forms of healing, and involves the transference of energy between the practitioner and their client, to increase the client’s energy to heal, and balance the body’s subtle energies (physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual).

Reiki is an excellent complement to traditional therapies and treatments. The practitioner, trained and attuned to serve as a channel for Reiki, guides the flow of energy into the client’s physical form and energy body via hand placements 3 to 6 inches above the clients body, along the chakras (energy centers). 

Reiki can be sent over distance with results as powerful as an in-person treatment. 

Many people report feeling a sensation of warm or cold tingling, deep relaxation, and emotional release during a session. Treatments are conducted fully-clothed, with the client sitting or laying in a relaxed position. Each session includes a brief opening check-in and ends with a debrief and suggestions for practices to support the client’s continued healing.

Lisa has received Level I and II trainings and attunements, in the Usui Ryoho Method of Natural Healing, from Reiki Master Tonya Morris. Reiki has been a remarkable experience for the clients that Lisa has been working with, and  she is currently offering Distance Reiki Healing via FaceTime or Zoom and including Reiki in her Nutrition Programs.
